Macquarie Group’s Delaware Investments today announced that it is adopting the name of its parent and rebranding as Macquarie Investment Management to better reflect the firm’s integrated global capabilities. Given the firm’s strong name recognition among retail investors in the United States, its US registered mutual fund and separately managed account offerings will continue to carry the Delaware name.

Macquarie Investment Management, headquartered in Philadelphia, has US$256.9 billion in assets under management worldwide as of Dec. 31, 2016 and employs more than 500 people in the Americas. It is a division of Macquarie Asset Management, a top 50 global asset manager1, with US$362.1 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31, 2016.

One of the oldest asset management firms in the United States, Delaware Investments was founded in 1929 at the start of the Great Depression and introduced its first mutual fund in 1938. Macquarie Group Limited acquired the firm from Lincoln Financial Group in 2010.
