A leading healthcare provider wanted to improve patient experience in its hospitals by delivering outstanding patient care and clinical services through innovative technology. The aim was to enable their staff and doctors to give a more tailored experience to inpatients and continue that ongoing service once the patient was discharged.

Action

Macquarie worked with the healthcare provider and the medical technology supplier to develop a funding solution for the entire project, including installation, cables, technology and software. The final solution included ongoing services for the client, and the cost was wrapped up in a single monthly fee.

Outcome

Macquarie structured the equipment finance option to include the ability to fund progress payments during the implementation stage, while also providing the healthcare provider the option to pay the cost of the new system over a term designed to match its expected useful life.

The solution provided clinicians with a range of integrated technology that supported electronic prescribing and administration, access to patient results, and electronic health records that allow nurses to perform rounds quicker.
