Macquarie Specialised Investment Solutions (MSIS) has appointed Morten Arntzen as Senior Shipping Industry Advisor to support the growth of its global ship financing business.
Morten brings over 24 years of experience in shipping and aircraft finance and 18 years of board and management experience in multiple shipping companies, across the crude, product, chemical, gas, dry bulk and cruise segments. Based in the United States but mandated to enhance Macquarie's offering globally, Morten will use his industry-leading expertise and his key relationships to help further expand MSIS's ship lending business and Export Credit Agency (ECA) offering.
Morten is currently the Executive Chairman of Team Tankers, one of the largest chemical tanker operators. He also serves on the Board of TSB Ocean Logistics, a dry bulk pool operator. Prior to this, he spent nine years as CEO and President of Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG).

Morten is also a former Member of the Board of Directors of Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited (2008 – 2013), Essar Shipping Limited (2000 – 2004), Chicquita Brands International (2002 – 2008) and I.M. Skaugen SE (1998 – 2004). He built his career at Chase Manhattan Bank (and its predecessor institutions) across Europe and North America. He also spent seven years as President and CEO of American Marine Advisors (AMA), a leading shipping investment banking boutique. Morten is a graduate of the Columbia University School of International Affairs and Ohio Wesleyan University.
