SMS chat communication terms and conditions

All conversations with Macquarie over SMS are recorded.

All communications between you and any member of the Macquarie Group (collectively ‘Macquarie’) regardless of platform are and must be kept strictly confidential. If you are not the intended recipient, or have received a message in error, promptly delete it and inform us.

All personal information is handled in accordance with Macquarie's privacy policy, found at macq.co/privacy.

Macquarie does not provide or control any SMS service. Your use of SMS is governed by your agreement with your telecommunications provider (the “Operator”) as amended from time to time. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with this agreement.

By using SMS to conduct or discuss any business with Macquarie, you acknowledge and agree that:

You:

  • accept these terms both personally and on behalf of your company or trading entity, (“Entity”);
  • are fully authorised to use SMS (including, if relevant, to enter into transactions) on behalf of your Entity;
  • will comply with all laws, rules, regulations and policies that apply to you or your Entity (collectively “Laws”) and will stop use of SMS if any Law requires;
  • will ensure all information provided by you in relation to your use of SMS is and is kept accurate; and
  • are responsible for keeping your own device secure.

Macquarie:

  • cannot guarantee the integrity of any communication over SMS;
  • is not responsible for any issues arising from your use or misuse of SMS, or any act or omission of the Operator;
  • may suspend or terminate use of SMS at any time in its sole discretion; and
  • may refuse to communicate with you via SMS if it believes that would breach any Law or would otherwise be inappropriate.

If you do not agree to the above please let your Macquarie contact know, and use another channel for any future communications.
