Macquarie Taiwan media statement

Macquarie Group notes the recent media reports about our presence in Taiwan. We would like to reiterate that Macquarie has been active in Taiwan for over 20 years and our commitment to Taiwan remains unchanged. Taiwan continues to be a key market for our business with employees spread across two offices locally.

Our equities business, Macquarie Securities Taiwan, covers over 50 stocks in Taiwan to provide its clients with differentiated insights. It also organises our annual Taiwanese Conference, which is dedicated to connecting institutional investors and corporates.

We also continue to manage $US3.2 billion of Taiwanese institutional capital from offshore in public and private investments globally. Macquarie also continues to support Taiwan’s energy transition – and has supported 2GW+ of green energy projects to date.
