What role will you play?

Accounting

In an accounting role, you’ll support the growth of Macquarie by delivering financial management and control advice, management reporting and forecasting, regulatory and tax reporting and business advisory services across our business.

What could I be doing?

Working in an accounting role you could be:

analysing financial performance to deliver valuable business insights;
reviewing, challenging and reporting on financial results, and ensuring compliance with reporting standards;
preparing forecasts for management to support strategic decision making;
engaging with stakeholders to determine data requirements for new products and deals;

Where will I sit?

You will join our Financial Management Group where you could sit in a central role or be aligned to any of our operating groups: Macquarie Capital, Macquarie Asset Management or Commodities and Global Markets.

Asset management

In an asset management role, you’ll provide investment solutions to a broad range of clients. You’ll play a role in managing assets like renewable energy platforms and other essential businesses. Alternatively working as part of our Client Solutions Group, you will support product development, capital raising and client relations across Asia.

Real Assets, Real Estate, Credit and Client Solutions Group.

Degrees

Candidates with backgrounds in Law, Psychology, Engineering, Science, Technology, Mathematics and Finance are all encouraged to apply.

What could I be doing?

Working in our Asset Management Group, you could be:

valuing and running performance analysis of fund assets through financial modelling and scenario analysis;
assisting with or owning research projects relating to both existing and targeted assets;
assisting with the review and approval of asset acquisitions including financial analysis of the impact of acquisitions and appropriate funding strategy;
working closely with other professional advisors in a transaction setting, including legal and financial advisors;
preparing marketing, materials for client updates, or investor relations materials for internal and external use;
supporting teams with activities associated with fund raising and ongoing interaction and communication with clients.
undertaking financial and corporate analysis of new transactions including cash-flow modelling, asset valuations, and industry research;
engaging with clients, corporate representatives of listed companies, external advisors, intermediaries and internal stakeholders.

You will join Macquarie Asset Management.

Corporate operations, strategy and projects

Manage our operations, support our people, curate workplace experiences and help transform the way we do things. In a corporate operations, human resources, marketing, strategy or project role, you will be empowered to deliver seamless services and digital experiences.

What role will you play?

Working in a corporate operations, human resources, strategy, marketing or projects role, you could be:

Corporate real estate	supporting the management of real estate operations, keeping our premises open for business, resilient and safe; working on identifying opportunities and implementing changes to maximise the workplace experience for our people; leveraging data and technology to increase the value and output of our premises and people.
Human Resources	attracting, recruiting, rewarding and retaining the best people; supporting the development of our people through career growth and learning opportunities; providing support to our business through employee relations, HR policy management and reporting.
Innovation, change and strategy	supporting businesses and teams across Macquarie to deliver projects and initiatives aligned to strategic objectives; helping drive change aimed at improving customer experience and building scalable operations through simplification, digitalisation and enhanced risk management; facilitating effective communication, collaboration and knowledge management.
Marketing and PR	engaging with investors, governments, media, and the wider community to maximise their understanding of Macquarie; enabling Macquarie to understand the expectations of our key stakeholders; supporting the delivery of strategic and tactical marketing initiatives across Macquarie’s digital channels.
Operations	helping to provide business aligned trade support services such as middle office, trade validation, trade documentation and settlement support; assisting with regulatory reporting and client lifecycle management, payments and treasury support as well as reconciliation services; providing group wide support for Human Resources across areas such as payroll, onboarding and mobility.
Procurement	delivering benefits for Macquarie through innovative sourcing strategies and helping manage processes, systems and training across procurement and the supplier lifecycle; supporting management of the global travel and expense policy including travel, card, tech suppliers and services; processing payments and providing support, using Concur and Coupa.
Resilience	supporting activities that ensure Macquarie is resilient such as crisis planning, strategy development and regular testing exercises; partnering with the business and suppliers to sustain operations during times of disruption; helping with the implementation of the Group business resilience framework.

You could join our Corporate Operations Group or the Financial Management Group.

Equities research, M&A, advisory, treasury and markets

Help advise on M&A, assist with equities research, support teams that trade critical commodities or work in treasury providing funding, capital and advisory services. In an equities research, M&A, advisory, treasury or markets role, you’ll support teams that make opportunity a reality.

What could I be doing?

Working in a corporate finance, M&A or markets role, you could be:

Macquarie Capital	adding value to live deals, from conducting due diligence to drafting a prospectus for an initial public offering; analysing financial data; including building and running financial models; drafting pitch presentations.
Equities Research	work closely with lead analysts and portfolio managers to provide financial analysis and modelling support, contributing to sector commentary; be exposed to a range of events and analysis while learning valuation techniques and preparing company reports and presentations.
Markets	helping tailor innovative products and solutions for clients across equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, commodities, technology, media and telecoms; developing your knowledge of market dynamics; producing fundamental market analysis and research.
Group Treasury	play a role in managing the funding, capital, and liquidity position of Macquarie to ensure our business units have the financial resources they need to meet their ongoing commercial requirements; supporting senior management in strategic decision making; helping manage interest rate and liquidity risk, Macquarie’s liquid assets portfolio and our Group structure.

You could be joining our teams in Macquarie Capital, Commodities and Global Markets Group or Financial Management Group.

Risk

Working in the risk team, you’ll deliver successful and sustainable business outcomes by reviewing, challenging, overseeing, monitoring and reporting on Macquarie’s material risks.

Financial Risk (Quantitative), Non-financial Risk (Qualitative)

What role will you play?

Working in a risk role, you could be:

Financial Risk (Quantitative)	working alongside senior stakeholders to review deals and transactions; monitoring daily risk exposures for trading desks and reporting to senior management; gaining exposure to capital markets, funds and the central service functions while applying a wide range of skills in derivative pricing, financial modelling, statistics, computing and data analysis.
Non-financial risk (Qualitative)	assisting businesses with the implementation of appropriate remediation actions, reviewing specific transactions, new products or businesses, identifying and escalating potential conflicts of interest and advising on the application of laws, regulations and policies; having exposure to the day-to-day relationships with Macquarie’s regulators, including regulatory enquiries; supporting senior management with timely and effective escalation and reporting of significant compliance risk issues; reviewing financial crime risk and helping maintain and monitor the effectiveness of global Financial Crime Risk frameworks.

What could I be doing?

Engineering	getting exposure to the different parts of the technology lifecycle, from designing and developing through to implementing and maintaining technical solutions working side by side with experienced front and back-office developers, you will work with business stakeholders to translate business strategy to clear technical requirements
Desktop Support	delivering a client focused service experience for technology users and helping resolve their queries providing customer facing support on real-time IT infrastructure and systems within a dealing room environment supporting on smaller operational projects such as software deployments, hardware rollouts or continual service improvements
