Where could your skills take you?

Our graduates and interns can choose from the following technology disciplines:

Engineering

In Technology, engineering is at the core of what we do. We see engineers as anyone involved in any part of the technology lifecycle – from designing to building and maintaining a system. Our engineers can be developers or code writers, but they’re also people who specialise in architecture, UI design, testing, business analysis and production support. As an engineer you’ll operate in a collaborative environment, where you’re empowered to continuously learn and become a master in your craft.

Roles include Software Engineer, Cybersecurity Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Data Engineer, Back-end/Front-end Developer, Cloud and Platform Engineer, UX/UI Designer, Infrastructure Engineer, .NET Developer and Full-stack Developer. 

Data Analysis & Management

In our Data team, we’re enabling trust in our data to drive business outcomes and accelerate the digital enterprise. Data is a vital asset, and we continuously invest in how we manage and use data through uplifting capabilities and leveraging new data technologies. It’s also the foundation of how we deliver our digital outcomes and experiences. In a data or data science role, you’ll help identify new opportunities for our business, automate processes and enable business growth.

Roles include Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Governance Analyst, Records Management Analyst and Regulatory Reporting Analyst. 

Cyber security

As part of our Cybersecurity team, you’ll work in a highly dynamic environment. We’re continuously evolving our technology and processes to keep pace with a shifting threat landscape. People who thrive in this space have a curious and critical mind and think of creative ways to solve complex problems.

Roles include Cybersecurity Analyst and Security Engineer. 

Business Analysis

Business Analysis is the practice of enabling change in Macquarie by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to our stakeholders. It’s about using a specific set of tools to uncover and analyse potential opportunities to drive business value.

Roles include Functional Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst and Support Analyst. 

Project Management

In Project Management, you’ll help define project goals, communicate with stakeholders and manage a project through to its closure. Whether running a marketing campaign, developing a computer system, or launching a new product, the project manager is responsible for the success or failure of the project.

The primary graduate role in this discipline is Project Coordinator.

Core and Personal Technology	Be part of the team that manages and operates the core services and platforms which underpin our applications globally.
Enterprise Technology	Make a difference to our people and clients’ digital experience by delivering on our enterprise data and digital experience strategy.
Engineering	Work at the core of technology at Macquarie – from designing to building and maintaining systems. You’ll be part of a collaborative team of developers and code writers, but also people who specialise in architecture, UI design, testing, business analysis and production support.
Cybersecurity	Channel your knowledge and help us prepare for, protect against and respond to cyber threats globally.
Global Security	Protect the security of our people, assets, reputation and confidentiality globally.
Data	Realise the value of data by making it easy to access and fit for purpose while helping to execute the enterprise-wide data strategy.
Digital	Identify and support the delivery of transformation opportunities by fostering collaborative new ways of working, transforming existing services and delivering digital outcomes. Digital supports transformation with three core capabilities: Human Centred Design (HCD), Eliminating Failure Demand and Data Science.
Business-aligned Technology	Banking and Financial Services We are a technology-driven Australian retail bank and wealth manager. Working in our Banking and Financial Services team, you could be building platforms and applications that support more than one million retail customers and lead the way in digital banking. Commodities and Global Markets In our Commodities and Global Markets technology team you will work across a variety of projects on our trading platforms, including supporting new business capability, enhancements, and system maintenance. Macquarie Asset Management At Macquarie, we are a full-service, global asset manager providing comprehensive investment solutions. As part of our technology team, you will support the delivery and operation of technology services across our businesses around the world. Macquarie Capital By joining the Macquarie Capital technology team, you will help deliver the technology strategy, service delivery, platforms, and programs to support our team of advisors providing flexible capital solutions to our clients.
